Kuanlang Sub-district
History
During World War 2 the former Kuan Lang Sub-district was named 'Ban Kuan Lang' because it
was the place where food, weapons, and other things were stored in special storing places or 'Klung'. Later
the name was mispronounced, becoming Kuan Lang and is still used today.
General Details
It is located southwest of Hatyai, six kilometers from the Hatyai Municipality Office. There are
two seasons including the summer and the rainy season. The terrain is mainly elevated hills, with the highest
elevations in the south of Kuanlang Sub-District.

To the south: Toong Lan and Kaak Muang Sub-districts, Klong Hoy Khong District

To the west: Toong Dtum Sao Sub-district, Hatyai District

There is a population of 28,047 people including 13,826 males and 14,221 females.
