Tha Kham Sub-district

History

In the Tha Kham there were ferries, 'Tha' to cross the 'Kham' to Nam Noi Sub-district. One of
these ferries there was a girl who crossed to visit her lover on the other side. But after crossing she died on

the opposite side, the side of BanTha Nang Hom in Nam Noi Sub-district. And it was that place that was
named BanTha Kham. It later became Tha Kham Sub-district.

General Details

The land is made of plains intercepted with hills. It is divided in eight sub-divisions. These are
Ban Mae Dtuy, Ban Klang Jik, Ban Tha Kham, Ban Peek, Ban Nang Bua, Ban Hin Klieng, Ban Kao Klan
Auk, Ban Kao Klan Dtok.

To the south: Pijit Sub-district, Na Mohm District, Songkhla Province
to the east: Toong Wang Sub-district, Muang District, Songkhla Province
Wo the west: Toong Yai Sub-district, Muang District, Songkhla Province

There is a population of 7,746 inhabitants in 2,334 households.
