Instruments Ways of maintenance
Mong - Place on the rail, cover and clean the instruments before using them.

Ching - Put them in the boxes to protect for striking against something causing
loud sounds
Th up - Keep in a box for its protection, should be cleaned before and after using
the instrument. Keep in a dry place to avoid mold because it an
instruments made of leather.
Klong - Put it into a box, don't keep it in another place as the mold would grow
on the surface of the drum, because it is made of leather. Should be
played carefully, to protect from ripping the surface of the drum. (If the
drum is ripped you must buy a new one. 1t can't be fixed and it is
expensive.)

Phee - The reed of the pipe ("Puad") should be kept properly. Do not place it in
the sun because it is easily broken because it 1s made of the palm leaf.
- The body of the flute is kept in a cloth bag. Apply some water before
using it. (for best sound)
Sor Ou - Place it in a cloth bag for protection against impact or fall.
