The comedian of the shadow puppet show is usually called "Rubkark" Most of them are not
wearing a shirt (some of the comedians wear only the panung or sarong at knee length, some wear shorts.
Most of them will have a personal weapon. The comedians can move their mouth and arms. Each group of
the shadow puppet show will have more than 10 characters. In general, only 6 comedian characters will be
selected to join the play.

The First Comedian: It means a famous comedian that everyone know very well because the narrator
usually select him to be part of the story of the show.

1. "Ai teng" The shadow puppets show of "Juan", Khukud Sub-district, was invented in
imitating the personality of a real life character Mr. Teng, a local person in Khukud Sub-district, Songkhla
Province. He was tall and thin, his upper body was longer than his lower body with a dark completion, a
wide mouth, and curly hair. The face looks like a local bird. His special feature is his right index finger, big
and long, it looks similar to a penis, and the left thumb and the index are bent, he does not wear a shirt only
wears a sarong with a loincloth for bathing without a bathroom. He also has a bent knife tuck behind his belt.
His personality is not as pleasant as others and he talks very loud and imitates other personalities. He has a
closed friend named "Nu-Nui", an other famous comedian of the show.

2. "Ai Nu-Nui" There is no record of the inventor. His personality ts quite stupid and faithful.
He has a dark completion, is quite short, has a big stomach and is downcast. His hair looks similar to a horse
mane. His nose and mouth look like the mouth of a cow. He also has a beard and moustache. He usually
doesn't wear a shirt but only wears a sarong. In his hand he has an areca nut cracker. His voice is in a nasal
low tone. He always shows his faithful personality. He hates anyone who talks about cows.
