Toong Yai Sub-district

           History

                      Some people first migrated and settled around the Toong Yai fields in Toong Yai Sub-district,
           they saw that the land was good arable soil so they encouraged others to settle there too.  Those field are

           currently the location of Ban Toong Yai in Moo 2.
           General Details

                      There are large plains with the Koh Hong mountains as a barrier separating it from the Koh
           Hong Sub-district. The water from the mountain fills the canals. The people use it for irrigation.

                      To the north: Nam Noi Sub-district, Hatyai District, Songkhla Province
                      To the south: Pijik Sub-district, Na Mohm District, Songkhla Province

                      To the east:Tha Kham Sub-district, Hatyai District, Songkhla Province
                      To The west: Koh Hong Sub-district and Hatyai Municipality, Hatyai District,
                      Songkhla Province

           Population

                      There is a population of 4,771 inhabitants in 1,630 households.
