end of the kite and joining them all in the middle. These strings
must all be the same length and should be equally tight so
the kite stays balanced. Cut any extra paper off around the edges.

                                   1. Cutting the bamboo, sections of bamboo stick are

used as the center frame and when cut they are smoothed
on the surface and pointed atboth ends. The bamboo sticks
are cut according to the strength of the wind. To fly a kite
in strong wnds the sticks on the wings should be thick but
                                         i
for light winds, the wings could be thinner.
                                   2. The cross stick should be sharpened into a diamond
shape with sticks the same size as for the tail and wings.
                                   3. The Kadohk string is tied from the center of both

wings down to the tail. The strings should.be the same length,
so when the paper is glued on the tail will not interfer
                               with the top.
                                   4. To connect strings to the wings, tie a string from the

left to the right wing making it a straight stand. The left and
right wing should be the same size so the kite does not just look
beautiful but so the wind can circulate well and help the kite glide.

                                   5. Tie strings from both ends of the wings all the way
down to the kite tail in a diamon? shape and use another
                               string to tighten it.
                                   6. The tail should be tied on including a ribbon, paper,

or piece of cloth. The cloth could be long or short depending
on the type of kite. If the tail is too long the kite will be heavy
and won't be able to stay up.
                                   7. Making the stringed ends of the wings, use the

remaining cloth and cut it into strands, then stick them onto
the bottom of the wings to add balance and to keep them
                               from slanting left or right.
                                   8. Controlling the kite is an important step. If not

controlled well the kite might not even leave the ground.
This controlling device is made by tying strings from each
end of the kite and joining them all in the middle. These strings•
