Use it to wrap around the fingers when cutting the bamboo.
For protection against knife or sharp bamboo cuts on the fingers.

Day2 Making the Blowfish Kite 4 Hours
                                 1. Cutting the bamboo, sections of bamboo stick are

used as the center frame and when cut they are smoothed on the
surface and pointed at both ends. The bamboo sticks are cut
according to the strength of the wind. To fly a kite in strong
winds the sticks on the wings should be thick but for light
winds, the wings could be thinner.

                                 2. The cross stick should be sharpened into a diamond
shape with sticks the same size as for the tail and wings.
                                 3. Cross the horizontal stick with the vertical stick 3 inches

for the top, tighten a string around the middle cross of the
sticks to keep them from sliding.
                                 4. Tie strings from both ends of the wings all the way
down to the kite tail in a diamond shape and use another

                             string to tighten it.
                                 5. The paper used should be kite paper or crepe paper
so it will be strong. It should be pasted by smearing the
flour putty onto the frame of the kite whether it is made

of bamboo sticks or strings. After the putty is on, flatten the
paper over the frame pressing over with fingers, cut any
remaining pieces of paper off the edges.
                                 6. The tail should be tied on including a ribbon, paper,

or piece of cloth. The cloth could be long or short depending
on the type of kite. If the tail is too long the kite will be heavy
and won't be able to stay up.

                                 7. Making the stringed ends of the wings, use the
remaining cloth and cut it into strands, then stick them onto
the bottom of the wings to add balance and to keep them
                             from slanting left or right.

                                 8. Controlling the kite is an important step. If not
controlled well the kite might not even leave the ground.
This controlling device is made by tying strings from each
