Manora Dance Course
                                          Wat Kanun Sub-district



            Importance
                     Manora  is a  performing  art  of the  South  that is  being  lost  with  time.  The Wat  Kanun

             Sub-district realized the value of this particular art while many of the younger generations have turned
            away from this tradition. This course is to help people remember and help preserve this art form so it will
            continue to be part of the Southern culture as the original land of the Manora.


            Aims

                     1. To give the youth understanding and skills in performing Manorah.
                     2. To help the youth preserve the Manorah
                     3. To help the youth develop creativity to employ in daily life.

                     4. To promote learning and doing activities with others.


             Objectives

                     1. To provide youth with the knowledge and skills of the Manora.
                     2. So that children are conscious of preserving the art of the Manora.
                     3. So that young people can be creative and can apply this skill in everyday life.
                     4. To promote learning in activities with others


             Course Contents

                     Consists of the two following.
                     1. Listening to the lectures of the theory by the teacher

                     2. Learning the basic dance steps


             Course Length
                     The Manora dance program: 20 hours.

                     Theory: 2 hours.
                     Practice:  18 hours.
