The area is mainly covered by plains with sandy beaches along the coast with low slopes along
        the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand and along the west coast of the Songkhla Lake, as for the south

        there are high mountains sloping down towards the Songkhla Lake. The important mountains include the
        Malayu Mountain, Kao Kiew, and Kao Dang. The important water canals include the Klong Sating Moh,
       Klong Sayu, and Klong Polake Athit Kurnlung Ake (Klong Kut).
                It  has a  monsoon  climate  of two  seasons  that  include  summer,  from January to. June,

        and the rainy season, from July to December with the western monsoon winds from mid-October
        to December with abundant rainfalls, heavy winds at that time, and flooding in some areas. From May
        to September there will be moderate rainfalls and in the morning it will be overcast with the rain usually

        coming in the afternoon.


        Population
                Singha Nakom has a population of around 79,372 inhabitants divided into 39,159 males and
        40,213 females (information from March 2010).

                The population living inside the Singha Nakorn Municipality area  includes 36,077 people,
        divided into 17,931 males and 18,146 females.
                The population living outside the Singha Nakom Municipality area includes 43,295 people,

        divided into 21,228 males and 22,067 females.


        Infrastructure
                Education:  The  institutions includes 1  Department of Vocational  Education,  37  Basic

        Education Commission  (SPT.),  1  Office of Private  Education, 1 Non-formal Education Center  and
        Leisure Studies.
                Religion:  There are 39 temples, 2 monasteries, and 3 residences of the monks. 76% of the
        Singha Nakorn District population are Buddhist and 24% Muslim and other religions.

                Public Health: There is one 30-bed Hospital, 2 large Public Health Facilities and 10 regular
        ones, and there are 1,234 staff and volunteers.
                Transportation: There is a number 408 national highway which is the main road between
        Songkhla and Nakom Sri Tammarat, Sai Prong Jarakae Road (RPJ.) passing Sating Moh, Tumnop, and

        Ching Koh Sub-districts. (KSL.) Saisala Paploy Road-Sating Moh, (KSL.) Saisala Pamiew-Chingkoh
        Raod, (KSL.) Saikaodang-Watkaonoi Raod, and a ferry pier with 3 ferries.
                Tourism:  Singha Nakorn has natural  tourist areas and many interesting archeological sites

        that have long histories, such as the old town of Yod Kao Dang located at the T o urist Development
        Office of Hua Kao Sub-district, the W  h ite Pagoda and Black Pagoda in Moo 1 Ban Huo Kao in Hua Kao
        Sub-district, the tombstone of the former leader of Songkhla, Sultan Suleiman, the tombstone of the
        forefather  of the  surname Tontrakul Na Songkhla,  the  Sumpradtoo Bohkeng Moo  2  Hua  Kao
        Sub-district, Portrait of Luang Putuat standing on the water at Hua Kao Sub-district, the Historic Site of

        Poh Kao Dang  Moo 1 Ban Kao  Kiew Hua Kao Sub-district, Ancient Wells Moo 2 Ban Boh Sai Hua
