Economic Date:
The finance status of Singha Nakorn District, the main income of the majority of the
population is from agriculture and working in factories in the area. These factories include the Songkhla
Petroleum Terminal, Petroleum Exploration and Production Co. Limited, Frozen Processed Seafood,
Deep Water Port with economic growth. Singha Nakorn receives income from local taxes of 28% in the
past year. This money came from enlarging the industries in the area, the enterprises of oil drilling in the
Gulf of Thailand, and there is a deep-water port that is the source of transporting products by sea to other
districts, provinces, and neighboring countries such as Malaysia. This is the reason for the expanding
investments and employment of local workers, creating an economical advancement for the people of
Singha Nakom District. Other then this they receive income from development and creation of products
from the Cultural Instructors following the government policy of One Turnbo] One Product (OTOP).
The products of Singha Nakorn District were chosen to be entered into the National Competition of
Excellent Products in the year 2552. They received 5-star prizes for two products including
the Prawn Crackers and glass shrimps Hua Kao Sub-district, creating employment and expansion of
household industries.
There is also an important market in the district named Na Muang Market, a place selling
agricultural and homemade industrial products. These products are also being sold in the various markets
in the district, preventing poverty in the community.
