About Khao Mi Kiat

The area of Khao Mi Kiat is situated on hilly terrain. One mountain, which is in Moo 5,
is named 'Khao Mi Kiet' meaning 'respectable mountain' in Thai. The locals believe that there was a
large tiger which lived on the mountain. This tiger never harmed any humans and the locals believed
the tiger to be a sacred deity. They believed that whatever they requested from the tiger deity, they

would receive it. The locals call this tiger the elder of Khao Mi Kiet.
Landscape and Terrain

The area of Khao Mi Kiat is mostly valleys and small hills. There are rubber plantations

and some fruit orchards. There are also rivers flowing through the area.
