How to make chili paste (nam prik)

                    Chili paste is use as a dip for all kinds of vegetables. It is a healthy food and an important
         part of every Thai kitchen. It is a food that represents the Thai style of eating very well. The different
         areas of the country have their own unique style of chili paste with different flavors. Some examples
         are: namprik kapi, namprik makham sot, namprik ta deng, namprik narok, namprikjone, and namprik
         plarah. Making and selling chili pastes can be a good way to supplement income because it is not

         only eaten with rice but it is also one of the main ingredients in other curries. Chili paste usually has
         a spicy, salty taste but most people like to add more sour and sweet to make the taste richer.
                    Nam prik  kung (chili paste with shrimps)  is one of the products available from Mae

         Jinda Wattanapongchai who is the founder of the famous Mae Jinda food products from Petchaburi
         Province. Mae Jinda  once said  that when  she was thinkg of new products  to  make she would
         look at the ingredients she already had and would think of new ways to mix them or prepare them.
         One day she was looking at the food on the table she got the idea to make 'namprik sawan kung krob'
         and 'namprik pao kung sot' these chili pastes have ingredients that are easy to find.

         Goals

                    2. For the youth to be motivated and think of original ways to make chili paste

                    3. For those interested to be able to use their free time to supplement their income
         Objectives

                    1. For the youth and others to be able to make different kinds of chili paste
                    2. For those interested to be able use their new skills and knowledge to supplement their

         mcome
                    3. To provide job opportunities for the local people
                    4. To encourage the community to put their free time to good use
