Making Bird Cages Course

Importance

The bird cage has been crafted for over 50 years before the time of electiic drills. This skill
hasbeen inhererited and taught to the younger generations. The crafting instructions and the materials
hasbeen developed until the present.
Since the year 2548 the government has instituted a policy to create groups of One-District One­

Product in which most of the villagers make bird cages as their main occupations. They created a group
called Antique Bird Cages with a total of 75 members and 9 board members.

Aim
1 . So the children can learn about the history of their community

2. For the community to conserve the crafting of the bird cages
3. For it to be inherited by future generations

Objective

1. So that the community members are employed
2. To increase the income of the members of the group
3. To create love and harmony in the community

Course Contents

Drilling the boles in the rattan, binding the wires, crafting the cages, and creating a completed
bird cage
