Ancient Massage Instructions
How to give an Ancient Massage
We can massage to the body using the following methods:
1. Massaging
Manipulating the body with pressure to relax the muscles. The Thai massage focuses on the
body weight applied at pressure points.
2. Squeezing
Press on the different parts of the body pushing together from two directions.
3. Rolling
Spreading out weight in a rolling manner focusing on sensitive parts such as the bones and
joints.
4. Rubbing
Applying weight to rub on the skin to open the pores so medicinal ointment or oil can
absorb well into the skin.
5. Rotating
Applying weight in a rotating manner to spread pressure throughout the entire body to
stretch the muscles well.
6. Turning
Applying rotating motion to the muscles to loosen tension in joints and tendons around the
the point of connection so that they will move better.
7. Twisting, similar to turning
8. Cutting
Using weight to stretch and 'cut' the muscles and tendons to relax them.
9. Pound
Use weight and pounding, slapping, and chopping motion all around the muscles
10. Shaking
Use weight to shake the muscles in order for the flexibility to spread all over of the muscles
