Grinding Rice Course-Toong Dtumsao Sub-district

          Importance

                     Brown rice is  very  rich  in nutritients.  T h e  bran possesses  an inner  membrane and  some
          Ricezanol. They are beneficial to the body because they contain components including vitamins B 1, B2, B5,
          Bl2,  vitamin  E, protein, fat,  minerals,  and  dietary  fiber important for the excretory system to prevent

          constipation, obesity, and colon cancer. lt was found that lack of dietary fibers could lead to diabetes and
          easily cause high blood pressure.

          Aim

                      1. So the community consumes rice with wholesome nutrients.
                     2. For the children to benefit from the knowledge
                     3. To add members to the group of professionals in Toong Tum Sao Sub-distict

          Objective

                      1. To preserve Toong Tum Sao districts' cultural tradition of producing brown rice.
                     2. To teach the youth how to produce brown rice and carry the production

          Course Contents

                      1. Steps providing knowledge about growing crops
                     2. Preparation of the paddy
                     3. The demonstration of the operation
                         3.1    Removing the husks using a traditional mill
                              -  Selecting the grains of brown rice

                         3  .2   Breaking the husks off a second time using a pestle
                              -  Selecting the grains the second time: half polished rice
