Population
Bang Klum District has a total of 28,472 inhabitants divided into 14,104 males and 14,368
females (information from March 2553), an estimated average density of 182 people per square kilometer.
The population is 71 % Buddhist and 29% Muslim.
Education
Bang Klum has a foundation of basic education from the District Education Office of Songkhla

Infrastructure:
There are some natural water sources for agriculture in Bagnklum. Most people's farms depend
on rainfall as well as the natural water ways from example "Utapao", "Bangklum" and ''Wad" canals.
Traditions:
The most important traditions practiced in Bangklum District are the religious traditions.
l. Long tail boat competition in Bangklum District: This event is held every year. It takes place
along the shore near the water's edge, where people can watch at "Bangyee" Temple, Moo 4 or Ban
Bangyee, Bangklum District.
2. Making Merit to ancestors -10th month festivalffradition: This is one of the most important
traditions for the locals in the south which has been practiced for a very long time. This tradition of making
merit will take place 2 times (on 1st September and then on 25 September)
