Manora Dance Course


          Importance
                     Manora referred to as Nora for short is a local performing art in the South including delicate,
          beautiful steps  and  beautiful  lyrics  with a live  chant. The  singer  requires keen insight to  quickly  think

          of rhyming words with meaningful lyrics. It includes the dance steps, costumes, and instruments: the drum,
          the  double  bongs, cymbals, Mong, flute, and  wooden rhythm clappers and  nowadays international
          instruments are being included as well.


          Goals
                      1. To provide the student with knowledge and skills in Manora dancing
                     2. To conserve and pass on the local knowledge

                     3. For the students to be able to tum their performances into occupations

          Objectives:

                      1. For the students to have the knowledge, understanding, and ability in Manora dancing.
                     2. To have the ability in developing the knowledge into an occupation
                      3. To meet their individual talents and benefit their free time


          Course Contents:
                      1. Manora history
                     2. Music and Manora costumes

                      3. Main Manora dance steps

          Study Time:

                     T h e Manora Dancing Course: 20 hours
                     Theory 2 hours
                     Practice 18 hours
