Weaving Hats Course- Bai Lan

Importance
Basketry is an important handicraft in an agricultural society because everyone can make
baskets from local materials on their own. In principle the art and method of basketry is not difficult.
Leaves and vines are used to weave for use in daily life. The general teaching of weaving will begin with
easy shapes and develop to be more complex in both shapes and method.
Aims
1. To develop young people's skills in weaving hats from Bai Lan.
2. To help young people use local materials productively.
3. To generate income for the young people.
Objectives
1. To preserve the art and tradition of weaving.
2. To maintain the knowledge and skills of weaving hats from Bai Lan.
3. To spend free time in a useful way.
Course Contents
There are two subjects
1. Tools and materials for weaving hats from Bai Lan.
2. Method of weaving hats from Bai Lan.
