Bulrushes Mat Weaving Course-Huay Luek Sub-District


          Rational

                                                Mats woven of bulrushes is one of the most ancient handicrafts.
                                     It  is  also an historical  subject  for the  new generation to  study  interesting
                                     evidences about ways of life through the patterns of each bulrushes line and

                                     color, which tells the story and the background of the people who have lived
                                     in the regions of Thailand since the pre-historical period.





          Objectives
                     1. For the young learners to gain knowledge and skills in weaving bulrushes mats.
                     2. For the young learners to have creative thing in weaving bulrush mats.
                     3. For the young learners to use the skills to earn some extra income

                     4. To preserve the Thai methods and procedures of weaving bulrushes mats


          Purposes

                     1. To provide the learners with knowledge, understanding and skills in weaving bulrush mats
                     2. To provide the learners with knowledge and skills to earn a living


          Contents of the Course

                     The course has 2 parts:

                     2. How to weave bulrushes mats
