Course in Making Crafts from Palm Leaves and Coconut Husks

Importance
The local knowledge program was organized by the Ministry of Culture encouraging the
coming together of local communities to create learning resources and teachings of the local knowledge of
religion, art, and culture. Also to be applied to improve the quality of life for families, communities, the

society and the youth. This is in line with His Majesty the King's program of sufficient economy to develop
the value of the students so they can use it in their everyday life.
Therefore it promotes and supports the students to learn the local knowledge of religion, art,
culture, and to use local waste to make products

Goals
1. For the students to have learning resources and pass on the local knowledge of religion, art,

and culture.
2. To encourage the usage of local waste material to make appliances

Contents

Including the following
1. Crafting carps from palm leaves
2. Making ladles from coconut husks

3. Crafting the coconut shell into utensil to make kahnom La.

Study Time
Theory: 2 hours

Practice: 18 hours
