Around September of 2552, I had the opportunity to be acquainted with Job To Do (Bunjob
Ponin) who had had a concert in Toong Nang Riam. Job To Do is a Folk artist who campaigns against Global
Warming and in the area of his concert there will be no plastic or foam materials used, anyone eating must
use lotus leaves or coconut husks as utensils. One week before the concert of Job To Do, I wrote a song "Kon
Liang Kwai" for him, Nong Luangyut and I went to Lung Pluem's shop in Chaiburi Sub-district, Muang
District, Phatthalung Province to buy 500 coconut husk at 15 Baht each. I saw many products there that were
made totally of coconut husks and from seeing that I thought to myself that I could do that, but I didn't know
what materials they used in polishing the husks. I was then called by Job To Do to go and sing the song "Kon
Liang Kwai" performing with horn in Kanhom District, Nakorn Sri Tammarat Province, I intended on giving
him a souvenir but it had to be made with coconut husk because this artist had interest in products made with
local materials. I decided to make a coffee set for him, and that first coffee set gave me the idea to make
other coconut husks products to this.
In 2553 the Cultural Office of Ranod organized a community vote for the district cultural
instructors in the Meeting Hall of the Ban Kao Administration Office and on that day he was chosen as a
cultural instructor making a course of coconut husk products for the youth and people (3 groups of 20
students).
