About coconut shells

In the past, coconut shells were used for many different household purposes. Today they
are still used to make scoops, serving spoons, and rice spoons. But today these products are becoming
hard to find because of modem technology and the popular use of metal and plastics.
There is, however a small group of people who see the value of coconut shell products.

These people are working to preserve the art of making useful things from coconut shells.
Goals

1. For the youth to learn about coconut shell products
2. For the youth to think of original things to make with coconut shells

3. For those interested to use their free time to supplement their income
4. To preserve and pass on the art of making things out of coconut shells to others

Objectives

1. For the youth and others to gain new knowledge and skills and learn how to make
different things from coconut shells
2. For those interested to be able to use their new skills to supplement their income
3. For the students to keep improving their skills on their own
